Roofr Puts an AI Receptionist on the Phones, JobNimbus Builds Financing Into the Estimate
On Oct. 22, Roofr launched an AI Receptionist that books inspections and JobNimbus made in-estimate homeowner financing generally available. Here's what each one does.
Two of the bigger roofing CRMs shipped on the same day. On Oct. 22, Roofr launched an AI Receptionist at its semi-annual Roofr Builds product event, and JobNimbus made in-estimate homeowner financing generally available. One is aimed at the call you miss while you're on a roof. The other is aimed at the sale you lose at the kitchen table.
Both moves fit the pattern we've been tracking this fall: the CRM vendors want to own every step from first ring to final payment. Sales Rabbit folded RoofLink and Roofle into Roof Rabbit, and ServiceTitan opened its Max AI pilot to roofers. Now Roofr and JobNimbus are filling in their own gaps.
Roofr: a receptionist that books the visit
According to Roofr's Oct. 22 announcement, the AI Receptionist is built around roofing workflows: qualifying leads, booking appointments and routing urgent calls. Roofr's pitch is that most AI answering services "take notes instead of action."
The product page fills in the details:
- It answers 24/7, or on a schedule you set, through its own number. You forward your existing line to it, so truck wraps and signs don't change.
- It screens spam, collects the caller's details and books a home visit on the call. Known numbers and repeat customers get passed straight to you, and callers who ask for a human get transferred.
- Paired with Roofr's Instant Estimator, it can give callers a ballpark quote based on your pricing.
- Each call lands in the Roofr CRM with a job card, appointment details and a full transcript, and can trigger follow-up automations.
- Price: $99 a month including 200 minutes, no contract or setup fee. Roofr says it doesn't currently charge for overages. It's free for Essentials and Scale plan customers through the end of 2026, with billing starting Jan. 1, 2027 unless they cancel.
Roofr also launched unlimited, customizable user roles with no per-seat charge for subscribed users, plus updates to Roofr Sites, Instant Estimator and Proposals, Spanish translation, bulk actions and payment schedules.
JobNimbus: financing inside the estimate
JobNimbus Financing went generally available Oct. 22, Roofing Contractor reported. Reps can show monthly payment options next to the estimate, and homeowners can apply and get a decision. Loan status and payments stay tied to the job in JobNimbus instead of a separate lender portal. It launches with consumer lender Wisetack.
"Contractors know they need to offer financing. Our job is to make it easy for them to actually do it," said Todd Furness, JobNimbus vice president of fintech.
That capped an October run for the company. On Oct. 8 it launched Analytics, with dashboards for sales, workflow, receivables and job profitability included in JobNimbus plans, plus an Analytics AI add-on that answers plain-language questions like which reps closed the most retail jobs. A week later came JobNimbus Enterprise for multi-branch operators, with cross-location reporting and supplier ordering through ABC Supply, SRS Distribution and QXO. JobNimbus says more than 8,000 roofing and exterior businesses use its platform.
The take
Neither feature is magic. An AI line that books a 7 a.m. inspection nobody shows up for is worse than voicemail. Financing reps never bring up doesn't close anything. But for a shop that's losing calls during tear-off season or watching retail deals stall over price, these are real fixes built into tools a lot of roofers already pay for. Run the trial, check the transcripts and see what it actually books.
