ServiceTitan Opens Its Max AI Pilot to Roofers. The Roofing Agents Come Next Year.

ServiceTitan opened a limited pilot of its Max AI package to roofing and commercial contractors at Pantheon 2026. Daily log, invoice review and site-walk agents are live; claims/supplement, production and subcontractor agents are planned for next year.

ServiceTitan is letting roofers into its top-tier AI package, on a limited basis and before the roofing-specific tools exist. At its Pantheon 2026 user conference in Orlando on Oct. 6, the Nasdaq-listed software company announced that its AI-powered Max package is now available to every residential in-home contractor, and that it is launching “a limited Max pilot for commercial and roofing contractors.”

What roofers can get in the pilot today is general-purpose. ServiceTitan says the pilot pairs its Atlas assistant and core automations with agents “already live in the field”: a site walk and findings write-up copilot, a daily log agent and an invoice review agent. The agents built around how roofing companies actually make money, covering insurance supplements, production scheduling and sub crews, are planned “by next year,” according to the company’s Pantheon live blog. “While the Max pilot is underway, the roofing-specific claims, production and subcontractor management agents remain in development,” Roofing Contractor reported Oct. 12.

Live, coming soon, next year

ServiceTitan’s announcement sorts the pieces into three tiers.

  • Live in the pilot: the site walk and findings copilot, the daily log agent and the invoice review agent. At the commercial keynote, ServiceTitan said the Daily Log Agent “builds a foreman’s daily log from voice notes and photos, and calls in the RFI Agent or Change Order Agent when it spots a conflict in the field.”
  • Coming soon: an agreement review agent, “touchless AP autopilot,” a collections agent and an AFP (application for payment) recommendation advisor.
  • Planned by next year for roofing: a claims and supplement agent, a production agent and a subcontractor management agent.

The company’s fine print is blunt about the gap. Features described as “coming soon” “may not be delivered on the anticipated timeline or at all,” the release says, and “purchasing decisions should be based on products, services and features that are currently generally available.”

The roofing agents on the roadmap

Co-founder and President Vahe Kuzoyan laid out the three roofing agents in his keynote. Per the live blog, the claims and supplement agent “reconciles the adjuster scope to your estimate and drafts supplements.” The production agent “breaks a sold estimate into jobs, books crews and deliveries, and reschedules for weather.” The subcontractor management agent “matches jobs to subs, issues work orders, calculates pay, and scores performance.”

“We want to work closely with our first customers, support your teams through adoption, and help you turn these agents into more revenue, stronger margins, and better experiences for your customers and your team,” Kuzoyan said.

Those three jobs are where roofing shops lose the most hours, and where mistakes cost the most. A supplement drafted by software still goes to an adjuster under your company name, and your documentation has to back it up. Our guide to field photo workflows that win supplements still applies.

Catalog, Atlas and Homh

ServiceTitan is building a materials catalog connected to suppliers, so a pricebook “stays current at negotiated prices and ordering happens inside the platform.” SRS, Ferguson and Lennox are design partners, “and roofers get access by the end of the year,” the live blog says. A separate supplier self-service portal already has “several major distributors and manufacturers” live, according to the release.

Atlas, the company’s AI assistant, is getting a mobile app that lets owners ask about sales performance, revenue or “why a number moved.” ServiceTitan says Atlas is in closed alpha for admins, Max customers get access first, and it hasn’t set pricing and packaging.

Homh is a new consumer platform that makes selected ServiceTitan contractors discoverable and bookable through ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Claude. Roofing Contractor says it is initially available by invitation in select markets. ServiceTitan didn’t say whether roofers are in that first group.

The proof so far

The only customer result ServiceTitan put on stage for the invoice agent came from an HVAC company. At Gulfshore Air and Heating, ServiceTitan said, invoice prep time fell from 30 minutes to under five, and days to payment fell 70%. Construction Metrics noted Oct. 11 that the number of invoices and the time period behind those figures aren’t public, and that ServiceTitan hasn’t published results for the daily log agent on construction projects. ServiceTitan published no roofing customer results.

If you join the pilot, measure your baseline first. Construction Metrics suggests tracking billing lag, the days from work complete to invoice sent. For a roofing shop, also track supplement turnaround and how many calendar days your production schedule slips. Then compare the same numbers on pilot jobs.

ServiceTitan isn’t the only platform pushing into roofing operations. Sales Rabbit opened early access to Roof Rabbit, its combined RoofLink and Roofle system, in September. Whoever is pitching you “agents” this winter, ask which ones are live today.
