Guaranteed Roof Taps LB Capital’s EM Exteriors — Southeast Independents, Watch the Playbook
Atlanta’s Guaranteed Roof joined Lance Bachmann’s EM Exteriors platform (Sept. 17). PE-backed ops, TN/NC/SC expansion, rejuvenation-first pitch — terms undisclosed.
Atlanta Metro’s Guaranteed Roof announced a formal strategic partnership with Lance Bachmann and LB Capital as part of the EM Exteriors platform on Sept. 17, 2026. The PR Newswire release frames it as fuel for Southeast growth — Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina beyond Georgia — plus tech, procurement, sales training, digital marketing, and leadership development from the platform. Deal terms were not disclosed.
For owners and GMs watching PE and platform capital roll through home services, this one is worth a closer look: Guaranteed Roof is selling a rejuvenation-and-coatings lane alongside full replacement, not a replace-everything default.
What’s on the record
- Who: Guaranteed Roof (co-founders Matthew Weeks, CEO, and Chase Howe); Lance Bachmann / LB Capital via the EM Exteriors platform.
- Where next: Expansion beyond Metro Atlanta / Georgia into TN, NC, and SC.
- What EM Exteriors brings (company-stated): Enterprise tech stacks, supply-chain procurement, sales training, digital marketing, leadership development, and “operational scaling frameworks.”
- Service mix claimed: Roof rejuvenation, commercial coatings, specialized cleaning, and complete replacement — matched to condition rather than default tear-offs.
- Terms: Not disclosed. Do not invent valuation or equity split.
“Chase and I built Guaranteed Roof around helping property owners make confident decisions about their roofs,” Weeks said in the Sept. 17 release. “Partnering with Lance Bachmann and LB Capital gives us the support to build on that foundation.”
Why Southeast independents should care
Platform capital does not only show up as a competing logo on the same storm board. It shows up as shared buying power, shared CRM and estimating stacks, and shared marketing that can outspend a single-shop brand in new metros. If Guaranteed Roof executes the stated TN / Carolinas push with EM Exteriors’ playbook, you should expect:
- Faster market entry: Platform-backed shops often hire sales and production capacity before they “earn” the market the old way.
- A restoration pitch on the door: Rejuvenation, coatings, and cleaning as first conversation — then replacement. That changes how you set expectations on soft-metal collateral, remaining life, and insurance vs. retail work.
- Labor pressure: Leadership development and retention language in the release is a signal: they intend to compete for supervisors and estimators, not just trucks.
What the release does not say
No purchase price, no crew count, no revenue, no timeline for first branch outside Georgia. Treat “multi-state Southeast expansion” as intent until a permit board, hiring page, or local license filing proves a market. EM Exteriors’ own public positioning (LB Capital) is a multi-company home-services platform — useful context, not proof of how Guaranteed Roof will be branded on trucks in Raleigh or Nashville.
The Ridge Report take: mark this as platform capital attaching to a rejuvenation-forward Atlanta shop with a named Carolinas/Tennessee map. Compete on diagnosis quality and documented remaining life — not on who has the bigger PE story. If a salesperson leads with “coatings first,” your estimate still has to show why replacement is (or isn’t) the right call.
